Maria Kulvja
Originally from Estonia, Maria made France her home after graduating from high school. More than ten years spent in Paris helped cultivate her unconditional love of French wine. But not just any wine. Above all, authentic, lively, gourmet and convivial nectars. During her professional transition, she successfully achieved the WSET Level 3 in 2020 and the prestigious title of French Wine Ambassador in 2021.
The year 2021 marked a major turning point in her career, igniting the desire to weave connections between French wines and her native Estonia. To materialize this passion, Maria founded Quintessence, a wine importation company showcasing a meticulous selection of organic and biodynamic wines. Concurrently, she embarked on writing “Rosé, blanc, rouge,” the very first book in Estonian dedicated to French wine regions.
While the last three years spent in Metz, in the Grand Est region of France, had brought her closer to the Moselle valley its beautiful wine-growing region, a major change in her life has now led her to Luxembourg. Sharing the love of fine quality wines across borders remains Maria’s top priority. Maria teaches in English and French.
Zsófia Krasznai
Originally from Hungary, Zsófia began her journey into the world of wine in 2009, cultivating a deep passion for the industry. In 2014, she founded a wine consulting and export agency, focusing primarily on B2B markets. The same year she successfully achieved the WSET Diploma and became a Certified Educator, enabling her to run a WSET-certified wine school and lead courses across Hungary and Europe.
With over 10 years of experience, she has collaborated with wineries on consultancy projects, digital marketing, and image building for wine regions. Her work also spans export markets communication and journalism, helping to promote wines from Central and Eastern Europe to a global audience.
In 2021, a move to Luxembourg marked a new chapter in her personal and professional life. However, her dedication to sharing exceptional wine experiences and her passion for education remain as strong as ever. Teaching and inspiring others in the wine industry continues to be one of the most fulfilling aspects of her career.
